Hello there!
I am a violinist, pianist, and arranger.
Benjamin Ng is currently completing a Master of Music at Miami University, with an expected graduation this summer. Throughout his studies, he has accumulated nearly 10 years of professional experience. He has served as a teaching assistant for several courses, including Strings Method and musicology classes, where he developed strong presentation and communication skills.
As a violinist, Benjamin Ng serves as the concertmaster of the Miami University Symphony Orchestra, strengthening his leadership abilities, particularly in guiding the string sections and collaborating with the conductor. Additionally, as a pianist, he enjoys accompanying members of the Miami University violin studio, an experience that has deepened his sensitivity and collaboration as a chamber musician.
Outside of Miami University, he teaches private violin and piano lessons to students of all ages, from 6 to 60, at various music academies. This teaching experience has enabled him to tailor his teaching approach to meet the individual needs of students from diverse backgrounds. In 2024, he had the opportunity to attend both the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and the Las Vegas Chamber Music Institute, where he refined his performance skills and expanded his professional network.
In addition to performing, he enjoys arranging and recording pop songs, specifically mandopop, for piano solo and violin-piano duo.
